Doulas provide physical, emotional, and educational support throughout pregnancy and childbirth, and they've been proven to dramatically increase birth outcomes. I'm a doula who works mostly with teen parents, and am so passionate about this work.
Sydney has been a doula for about nine months, and is currently working on a certification through DONA (Doulas of North America). She loves the outdoors, and you can often find her hiking, road biking, or rock climbing. She volunteers in the Rose Medical Center NICU, and is a high school student! As a doula, she aims to bring peace, knowledge, reassurance, and joy to everything that she does. She will support you in any choices that you make and be an affirming presence in the room. She helps with position changes, counterpressure, massage, and breathing techniques, as well as teaching the partner (if there is one) how to assist!
