This program is open to any pregnant or parenting student (teen moms and dads) enrolled in Aurora Public school. This program gives students access to certified nurses, social workers and mentors. In addition to the services they provide parents there are childcare options available.
Urban Peak offers day and night shelter to to help support homeless youth in their journeys toward self-sufficiency. With two locations in Denver and in Colorado Springs, they offer services including help with finding employment, education and housing. Additionally they offer case workers to mediate any urgent issues and medical professionals to provide care.
The Third Way Center provides care to high risk, mentally ill, disadvantaged and often homeless adolescents and their families. They have a variety of programs that range from residential child care to high school/GED completion guidance. In addition to those services, they provide substance abuse treatment and and vocational training programs.
This Loveland based program looks to assist low-income, single parents in their efforts to build and maintain strong, healthy families. With a focus on achieving economic independence the program works with selected families to provide them with guidance and support. Often, this takes the format of a one year program
Access to food, clothing, household items, utility assistance, transportation assistance, medical assistance, tenant/landlord counseling, a homeless shelter, and more. Additionally, they offer a ‘pathways’ program (6 months) which focuses on self-sufficiency and relationship building.
For children and teens 3-24 who have experienced a death loss, peer-based support groups. There is no cost to families who participate in Judi’s house.
A safe home environment for teen mothers to learn to parent child properly. Teen mothers and their child are paired with foster mothers in a home setting in North East Denver. Help teen parents complete high school or GED, secure employment and prepare to live independently with their child. Also offers daycare, parenting classes, and referrals for therapy.
