Lester Arnold High School hosts the Building Blocks Day Care which is licensed for children ages 7 days old to 3 years of age. They can have 10 infants and 10 toddlers enrolled at a time and the childcare hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.Building Blocks also provides breakfast and morning snack for children and lunch for both parents and children. Teen parents are required to eat lunch with their children on a daily basis. In order for students to be eligible for Building Blocks Childcare Center, they must participate in a Teen Parenting class which is offered daily at Lester Arnold High School. In addition to the Teen Parenting class, we also have monthly group sessions for teen parents to receive additional support or help with questions and concerns that may arrive with their new responsibility of being a teen parent.
Lester Arnold High School also offers services through the district's HOPE Family Resource Center including a food and clothing pantry, showers, laundry, food/gas cards, hygiene products, etc.
