The mission of the Empowerment Program is to provide education, employment assistance, health, housing referrals, and support services for women who are in disadvantaged positions due to incarceration, poverty, homelessness, HIV/AIDS infection, and/or involvement in the criminal justice system.
Denver Kids helps support Denver Public School students by providing services like counseling and mentoring program. Additionally, they provide many students with extra resources to ensure their completion of high school.
Colorado Volunteers of America provide a wide range of services across Colorado. These services include, but are not limited to emergency shelter, food, counseling, parent education, GED classes, DV education, housing referral assistance, and more. There are multiple locations and not all services are available at each location. Please refer to their website for more specific information.
Besides educational services, the CCD offers a childcare program to help parents succeed at CCD while taking care of their children. While the program does require an application to the program, once accepted there are no additional fees.
ACC provides classes for GED preparation and GED testing. They also provide classes in a variety of academic subject matters to help one continue or finish their education.
Alternative Homes for Youth provides residential treatment, drug and alcohol therapy, alternative education programs and intensive individual, group and family therapy.
